Hi everyone I'm new to this page so please excuse me if I ramble on, my hubby was diagnosed DLBCL 2 yrs ago, he went into full remission last summer we were absolutely and looking forward to getting back to normal we had just gotten over that when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, so at end of January this year he had his op, he recovered well, no problems etc.  He was back for his check up today, his PSA is through the roof so it seems he has cancer somewhere in his body, we are both devastated, so it's back to waiting on scans etc.  My head is fit to burst, I'm trying to be very brave for him, but I just want to howl at the moon, he is very matter of fact about everything, so fingers crossed for him for his upcoming battle, thank you for listening to me

  • And my favourite Lorraine too ,you do refer to your partner as male on your profile My avatar is my name Eddie L######## keep it simple, no remarks please, though love the song an old country song re-written by Barry himself

  • I promise you nobody would even think that, though many of us seemingly have a normal "for us" life, i would be amazed if no one had off days, and we all remember how tough it was early on our journeys and know no one is really themselves at this time, take care.

  • Fingers crossed for both....please let us know how today goes......

What I have come to realise in only a few days of joining this wonderful community is; that each of us  rise and fall daily, but when read encouraging messages from each other we are lifted a little higher above our troubles so that we can carry on with a new resolve. That little lift means the world to someone, somewhere and spurs them on..... so we must continue to spread little wings of comfort and wisdom to lift more people above the madness we call cancer. The more we encourage each other the higher we fly and the higher we fly the more resolve we have to battle on. I believe that  with constant encouragement our resolve to march ahead lasts longer and longer, and that little daily lift helps us to continue on our pathway with that little bit more confidence, be that we are a cancer warrior, carer, supporter, partner.....whatever our role.....we are lifted each day by each other......so my lovely, I hope today is your day and you and your partner are lifted above the madness that is cancer, that your day is fruitful and blessed......my heartfelt warm regards....Millie
