Hey all so far husband has had psa 30.4. Bone scan, MRI, CT scan has confirmed prostate cancer with involvement of seminal vesicles. Thankfully there is no involvement in lymph nodes or any other organs, and bone scan clear. He is getting his biopsy’s tomorrow so we need to wait to see what type of cancer. But have been advised treatment will be radio therapy and hormone therapy.
Anyone have any experience of this type and has been told potentially cureable is there a chance it not cureable.

  • That's expensive donuts - if there's 4 in a bag that's £ 15.00 each!Joy.

Parking fines wind me up - at the end of the day I know they are in business but they franchise out the car park to private contractors who see it as a money making cash cow!!

If it's a private Company and it refuses your appeal - try going direct to Morrisons - tell them if they don't overturn the fine you will shop (and get your Radiotherapy) from Tesco (other supermarkets are available!!).

    Good Luck

I am pleased to know all is going well with you two after RT by the way.

  • Thanks, Brian! Still smarting about the parking fine coming as it does a very few months after getting lost 8n Nottingham and finding ourselves in a bus lane - £35!

really, I am an extremely law abiding person!!!

my husband is doing okish. Still getting tired and still getting a bit ‘down’ at times but we have started picking up the threads of normal life again and looking forward to holidays , summer etc etSlight smile we’re getting there! Slight smile

  • Aw, that's great. It's hard this Prostate Cancer business and it takes it's toll on the sufferer, their partner and the family and the thing is you get on with it - and it's later you sit back and think - crikey - look what we have been through.

Unless you are the cancer "victim", the partner, a family member or fellow sufferer you have no idea what's going on in their tight circle and it's hard for outsiders to understand.

Yes, spring is in the air - Easter is almost here - best wishes to you two for a full recovery and a decent holiday - you have both been through the mill and it will be a much needed the break

I think as soon as Easter is over me and Mrs Millibob (she's Lorraine!!) will be looking at cheap flights to Turkey and I fancy 2/3 weeks peace and quiet and a few cool EFES beers!! I will be great for me to fly again without a catheter and not to endure the examination in the small windowless room at the airport!!

    All the best - Brian.
