I am 63yrs and was diogonised in June 2021 with PC staged 2. I actually went through a scary period when deciding on what treatment option is best for me. I eventually chose to do surgery to remove the prostrate. The key hole operation was done in July 2021 by an experienced surgeon in St George's Hospital London. The catheter was taken out on the 8th day and thank God that I have not experience any incontinence or erectile dysfunction maybe because I started doing the pelvic floor exercise 3weeks before my operation still doing it uptil today. I will go for my first appointment in September and I hope that I get an all clear. I have not fully regained my strength but I have been going out and about using the public transport.
Hi OBA, I had key hole surgery May this year and have mild incontinence still and erectile dysfunction I was doing pelvic floor exercises and still do, I have regained some feeling so maybe I need more time. Its interesting to read how different the same procedure can have different outcomes. Stay strong and take care.

Hello,
I will count myself to be lucky to have one of the surgeon's in uk who is specialised in nerve saving. I think part of it is due to my strong will to control my pee and the fact that I always chose to go to the toilet rather than wait until I am pressed helped.
Stay strong and keep going.
