My Dad has 2-3 months to live .he was discharged from the Hospital last month . As there is no more treatment can do for him , he choose to stay at home than hospice that his request ,my Sister in l look after him . Now he is sleeping all day .
Do the hospice have a home support service?
But it's not unusual for people with very advanced disease to sleep a lot, the main thing is that he's comfortable with he's awake. Most painkillers have some sedative effect, too.
If you're worried, though, do get him checked out.
