Dads had a good day today I feel like I have to share some positive news rather than doom and gloom all the time
he was really nice to the carers and had 2 crumpets with butter and a bru
and this evening he wanted a shave and his head shaving said he felt scruffy , he left me do it all clean his ears change his top and his shorts as-well and asked me to do a wash load
( this is all still in bed) I said come on dad let’s just get you in the shower but he said I was pushing it ha ha ! I will get him in tha shower I’m adamant !
then this evening he said he fancied chicken dipped in sweet chilli sauce so I went to macdonalds got him a chicken select meal with a Fanta and he ate 2 pieces of chicken and a small handful of chips followed by some Fanta !!!!
He was really really sleepy after all that , kept bobbing off but I notice that when he does actually eat he’s pretty sleepy afterwards I don’t no if this is normal or not to be honest .
Monday morning his consulting will be getting bombarded with calls by me as I need answers from his mri and if no one is answering I will be getting the bus to the hospital !
all round good day and I hope eveyone else had a good day to

I’m really close to my mum and dad , my dads my world I’ve never ever seen him like this so it’s a big shock and he’s 67 but he’s a young 67 he’s always been fit healthy driving around and the one who’s looked after me and give me such a good life x
Hello Disney...
That's all good news about your dad - sounds like he is feeling a bit more relaxed about things now that the MRI is out of the way & a bit of appetite is returning. I wouldn't be concerned about him feeling sleepy after eating - we all get like that after a meal unless we have something to get on with. Food & rest will all help in his general feel good factor.
Good luck tomorrow.
Best Wishes
Brian
