Have been told that the Apalutamide that is starting imminently, requires a weekly blood pressure test. Can anyone recommend a make that is reliable and accurate as there seem to be so many to choose from...

Thank you

  • I've used Omron M3 for years, works well, I suffer from white coat syndrome so always high if a Dr takes it.

Best to go for for one on your upper arm rather than finger ones.

    Best wishes

  • Boots sell the best low budget but excellent models. It’s the model drs use a lot too so the quality is brill.

  • Thank you, have gone for this option...order is in! X

  • It’s a brilliant guide and competitor as long as you are calm writing the results down.

so be brave and let those numbers sing out your pressures.

Wait a few minutes each time to take a reading so your heart is at Normal Sinus rhythm (NSR) then you shouldn’t get spikes of high or low numbers.

    Enjoy.

  • Thanks so much - will pass that info on to hubby....mind you all this waiting for scan results, looking out for side effects and forthcoming oncologist meeting might mean I need to check mine too.....you are so supportive, best wishes to you x

  • I’m glad you’re keeping your sense of humour. We all need that to keep treading water.

    Thumbsup
