This might sound daft. The wife and me are looking to adopt a rescue cat so we're perusing local cat sanctuary websites today. A few of the descriptions for kittens said things like "if you feel able to commit for 15+ years..") and I got quite tearful wondering if I will be here in 15 years due to the PC (I'm 65). It passed quickly. Wife assured me that no matter what happens, we will be giving an animal a safe home. I don't often think like that, it was just the timescale. Feeling better now.
