Tuesday 4th Feb appropriately World Cancer Day! I had my last Radiotherapy session (20) and had the Joy of ringing the bell. Still fairly fatigued and somewhat effected in both toilet department which may go on for a few more weeks but looking forward to that subsiding and some positive news on the PSA front before to long. Very grateful to all the staff at James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough for their care and professional expertise, Great to be through it!
Hello Richards Dad
Well that's a milestone on your journey and you can now relax in the knowledge that the little bast*rds are now dead!!
The fatigue and toilet issues should clear up pretty fast and it's usually a couple of months before the post RT PSA test as the RT continues working.
I found the end of RT to be strange - no daily trips, no chats in the waiting room and almost like being in a Prostate wilderness but it was great to complete it.
Time for a little celebration now - .
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Richads dad
Vert well done to you for getting through what can be a traumatic time. The staff I have found are wonderful people, seeing to your every needs.
Hope your PSA takes a nose dive now and you will feel good in yourself for achieving this mile stone. It’s great when you ring that bell, I get another chance Tuesday, my wife will make sure there’s a photo for the family.
