I just thought I would bring this to your attention - it's on 4 February 2025. Here's a link to a blog about the Community and World Cancer Day by Steph, one of the Online Community Team:
World Cancer Day - The Online Community is here for everyone
Plus here's a link to a thread in the General Cancer Chat forum if anyone wishes to share how the Community has helped them.
World Cancer Day - what does the Online Community mean to you?

Hi Millibob
I'm just watching parliament discussing "The Cancer Plan Statement' Here is another Government link calling for peoples views that will go towards improving The NHS, with access to treatment, waiting times/ prevention and early diagnosis. To set out reforms for going forwards.
I'll certainly be writing in about the lack of PSA tests for younger men and early detection, the appalling wait for diagnosis tests, treatment plans, choice of drugs being available to all and Radiotherapy equipment being updated nationally.

Thanks Lorraine (BarryW) for bringing that to my (our) attention.
Like you when I find a spare half hour I shall be completing the response form (I think I may need more than half an hour!!).
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hi BarryW (Lorraine)
Thank you for posting this link.
I wasn't aware that the Government was looking at a national cancer plan (or maybe had just forgotten), & it's great that they are looking for ideas and evidence from people (individuals, professionals & organisations) to help improve cancer care in the UK.
It's a great opportunity to help build something better for the future & I will definitely be spending some time completing it over the next weekend.
Best Wishes
Brian
