As many on the group suffer from either insomnia or nocturia Community member Worriedwife has suggested a new thread where anyone awake can chat or record their thoughts at this time of night (or during the day). Let's give it a go and see. Feel free to chat about cancer, your support or anything that's on your mind at the time. (Please be aware of the Community Guidelines).
This thread isn't a replacement for the "No Specific Topic" thread and I would like to think both threads will work independently. Ladies and gentlemen the thread is yours.

Same to you Tony. The walk and talk club sounds brilliant.
All the best
Sorry to hear you had a downer yesterday, AH and that you, too, have had a bad night, Tony. I did eventually get back to sleep for about 90 minutes. So, I’ve had about 3 hours sleep overnight in all. I don’t know what’s worse, the headache I’ve got now or the hangover from sleeping tablets I can no longer take because of the after effects!
I have decided to wrap up warm and go for a long walk or bike ride today in the hope I might sleep tonight.
i hope both of you have a good day and sleep better tonight and wish the same for all others here who have spent sat night/ Sun morning tossing and turning between the sheets.
Morning everyone, I got to sleep about 1am, having had a long, tiring, emotional "mostly happy ones," but wonderful day with family, and was woken at 7am, by the alarm, booo, and a 3 hour drive to come.
WW,I'm l hope you managed a little more sleep and the memory of your horrible dream is fading.
AH, 7 hours sounds fab, though sorry to hear you both had a tough time yesterday,
Tony, enjoy the walk with the guys, putting the world to rights no doubt.
I'm at my youngest daughter's today for dinner, with fun and games with her 6 kids to follow, 7 if you include me.

Hi Ediie
i hope you have a lovely day with your family and also hope that the twins are doing well! I had twins and it’s hard work so I hope the parents are doing well too!
Hi, WW, thank you it was a lovely day, mum and babies are all good, dad's a little tired as he's on night duty, and as the twins aren't their first kids, they are managing really well with support from mums side of the family who live locally
A family get together for Sunday dinner is a family tradition, it used to be at my place, but as the clan grew we moved to the farm, though that's filling up quick now.

Morning All
Sorry to say I am late to the party today, bed at 11 last night up at 8.45 this morning, slept through with 3 breaks for a wee. The older I get the more I can sleep for England - It looks like I will never make a "proper" contribution to this thread.
A family get together for Sunday dinner is a family tradition
Eddie, we have done this since we were married 46 years ago. Now we are "empty nesters" we always have at least one of the 4 children and their family round on a Sunday (2 this week) - They just have to tell us by the Friday who's coming. I think that's part of why the children are what they are today. We are "still a family".
Best wishes - Brian.

Morning sleepy head, isn't it great having the family meet up regularly, and what better time than Sunday dinner, we started it 20 years ago, after my 2nd daughter left home, I'd seen friends families drift apart and hoped meeting up just once most weeks would keep us closer, and it's been a huge success, we usually have between 11 and 16 turning up, though we have had 20 which is fab, and as you say, we are a family.

Hi All,
I can’t sleep tonight , I had my follow up meeting yesterday, it wasn’t good news , it’s spread to my Spine.
The good news , it was only one spot , there are lots of treatment options , for now I’m back on Bicalutamide 50mg tablets until I have my first monthly injection.
We will wait and see how I react with HT before deciding our next option , I’m feeling a little numb ATM , however will remain positive as I know from reading other people’s journeys it helps .
I have been walking daily and will continue to do so , Hyde Park is great , as you walk around it’s amazing to think you’re in the middle of London .

Tony
Sorry to hear that Tony and can sympathise as we were in a similar situation last Friday being told it has possibly spread to the hip. We will have confirmation next week and have been told it will probably mean spot radiotherapy straight away. Our consolation is that there are still more tools in the toolbox but it does come as a blow when you know that you are having to make a little detour on this rollercoaster.
I know what you mean about being surrounded by nature to make you feel good. We live in the middle of an olive grove but have a terrace which is above the trees and from which we have a view of the sea and the mountains. It is our go to place every day for a cup of coffee and a chill out.
Stay positive but we quite understand if you have a couple of wobbles on the way.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
