  • Hi  ,

The T3b N1 MX part of your brother's diagnosis is the same as the original diagnosis for me.

In my local hospital, everyone that gets the N1 part gets a bone scan, and in my case, an additional CT scan.

It seems to me that you can regard this as standard practice, and read no more into it than that.

It's still no fun waiting for the results, I know.

    However, there will be treatment.

Learn what you can about this illness, and you are likely to feel better, albeit gradually.

    Best wishes,

    Steve

  • Hi I have just read through all your posts and reply s , you and your brother have every reason to be Very hopeful of a cure, yes it takes quite a while for it all to sink in and there will be ups and downs but with support from caring people like yourself you can get there. I was diagnosed in August as T3B so just not quite the same as your brother but not far away, I have had Brachytherapy and am currently having daily 20 Radiotherapy sessions. The NHS is very good at this unfortunately they get lots of practice! I went on to Hormone Therapy immediately once given a full diagnosis and a clear bone scan this slows down and shrinks the cancer before treatment, you are very much in my thoughts and prayers David.

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me yourself and others in here have relieved so many of my worries and I thank you all . One question can stage 3 be cured I didn’t think it could I just thought it was treatable .
