Hello Everyone

Thank you for all the support you have given to our Community over the past 12 months.  So we can keep the forum free for help and advice can we please try and use this thread for Christmas and New Year greetings and the "No Specific Topic" thread for general chit-chat.

On the matter of advice we give to Community members can we please not add either AI or Chat GPT generated advice to threads as we can't confirm these answers come from "trusted sources". Thanks.

On a personal note - that's me done with Hormone Therapy - 3 years completed so I assume I am technically "cancer free". I am on 6 monthly PSA tests for the next 5 years so I will be keeping an eye on things.

So Lorraine (Mrs Millibob) and I would like to wish everyone and their families on the Community a very Happy Christmas and our best wishes for 2025. We hope you all have a well deserved break and have a great holiday with family and friends.

During the Christmas and New year break there will be a normal service from me, however the Support Line will be on reduced hours.

Thanks again for your understanding and continued support.

Brian - Online Community Champion.

  • Thank you Brian for your support and guidance this past year.

I have already given my orders to Mrs OW for this years turkey: I'll pluck it and stuff it so she only has to kill it and cook itRoflRofl

Only kidding.... Merry Christmas everybody x

  • Wow Brian what an amazing achievement I am so pleased for you. I just want to wish everyone on here a very happy Christmas and New year. We are off on a cruise on Saturday down to the canaries and then celebrating new year in Madeira for the fireworks. A very different Christmas for us this year as we had to cancel our Christmas cruise last year as hubby had just finished chemo. Once again thank you for all your support

  • Hello

Great to know you are still with us even though all is good with you and yours. Joy.

I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2025.  (Me I am not jealous at all!! but Madeira sounds great, New Year or not!!))

    Best wishes - Brian

  • Hello all

My December  MRI scan has shown no change so Nurse say I will have a PSA in three months to see if it goes up again.

I will say a big thank you to you all for you kind words and support through this difficult Year. This month is doubly hard as it is Maureens birthday month and she loved christmas always buying presents throughout the year for gran children and great gran children.  Please do have a good Christmas and lets hope that new year will go well.

    Thanks again,

    Les

  • Take care  & glad your MRI showed no change .

    best wishes

  • Thanks for starting this thread, Brian, and well done on putting that darned HT behind you! Onwards and upwards now!!!

also, like everyone else, I want to say a big thank you to you and others here for all the fantastic support you have given to us and so many people!

finally, I want to apologise for my ‘silence’ over the last fortnight or so whilst away on holiday. We both felt that after two horrendous years with health problems we just literally wanted to sail off into the sunset and escape our troubles for a bit and this meant putting all thoughts about the PC and other on the back burner for the duration! I will try to catch up over the next few days once I’ve had some sleep!

This was a true escape! We only got back this afternoon !

I hope everyone can experience an ‘escape’ from the anxieties and ‘what ifs’ over the festivities and have a good time!

    xxx
