Hi I unfortunately had my robotic Procedure last Thursday can someone advise is it normal to have blood coming out to the side of the catheter when trying to use the toilet
Hello Flint7256
I haven't had surgery but I have had a catheter for 10 months. The idea is the catheter helps you with urination and not to "try" - it's possible you are forcing the issue.
If it continues - and it shouldn't a call to 111 is needed or a visit to you local A & E. At least give your surgical team a call tomorrow morning - please don't ignore it.
Let us know how you get on.
Best wishes - Brian.
