How long after the completion of radiotherapy is it safe to have the vaccination? Unfortunately I suffered a bout of shingles in April, very painful. My radiotherapy ended in Oct 2024.
Hi Cuthbert , until you asked the question I hadn’t even considered if the two are incompatible. Definitely medical advice required from an expert on this one. Let us know the decision.

My OH was called to get his shingles vaccine 7 weeks ago . We spoke to the Oncologist who said yes take it as long as it’s NOT a live vaccine . So any vaccine it’s worth asking your consultant or cancer nurse before hand
