Apologies this is a minor topic and I think my brain is addled by the heat and journey to and from for husband’s bloods today as second chemo tomorrow. Anyhow the nurse taking his bloods said not to have pineapple as it reacted with some chemo drugs. Is this true, agree grapefruit can do this but thought pineapple was a good fruit. There’s me with fresh pineapple in the fruit bowl ready to cut and freeze for tomorrow. I’ll just eat it. Sorry to ask. I’m having problems sending messages on here. Just curious. Thanks everyone.
Hello GilliB
I have attached a link to Cancer Research UK which seems to recommend both ice chips and pineapple.

Also.
I can find one article only, dated 2 days ago, which suggests no.

Thank you for your replies.
Still not able to reply/message individually so have managed to put it on here, hope it works. Will have a read through the links. Thank you Alwayshope. I had already read the cancer research one but slightly confused now. Nurse seemed to think there was some berry that had been recommended but couldn’t remember the name. Hopefully she will let us know tomorrow for round 2 chemo cycle.
Might just take a flask with ice chips, specially in this heat!!
All the best for today. There is something called 'miracle berry'. Never heard of it before but apparently you suck on one before meals. Maybe it is this?
