Hi guys just wondering if you all had to self administer MICRALAX micro enema before each RT session.
Yes I know when I was diagnosed my son's had difficulty getting tests too and they went private. Thankfully nothing untoward yet.
Interesting thread. I used an enema for my planning scan only. My local hospital- peterborough - do not require enema before RT sessions as they have integrated CT scanners on their newish LINAC machines. To be fair, my bowels have been pretty loose throughout treatment so far (nervous , then the side effects of RT) . So each time they carry out a CT scan, then I lie still whilst they micro adjust the sun bed to ensure that any variation from the plan can be corrected. Then there’s a click, the LINAC fills with the radiation material (or whatever) then two full 360 degree sweeps of the delivery head. AW
