So, first post radiotherapy consultation today. PSA now 0.06. To review poor tolerance of hormone therapy in 3 months and to decide whether to stop a bit earlier. Just wondered how low PSA should go?
and..quite off topic, after 48 hours in bed with covid I think I might live!!
Hi Ulls - Hope all is well with you and yours - I notice your PSA is on it's way up - lets hope the dreaded Decapepty injection sorts it out.
I had my PSA done Wednesday - 1st after completing RT in February and it was 0.576 - happy days for me - my next 6 monthly injection is Tuesday!!
You take care - best wishes to you both.
Kind regards
Brian.

Fingers crossed for your PSA on the 12th Ulls.
All this Covid seems to be rearing its ugly head again (or was that me looking in the mirror?).
I am trying to get my next booster booked, can't remember how many I've had now.
WW, glad you are getting over the dreaded covid. Also happy to see your husband's PSA of 0.06
It was the fatigue that got me as well, still does a bit. I'm trying not to think about it anymore. Too many other things this think about.
Brian, glad your boobs have stopped growing! My last PSA in February was 0.25
Next one due in August. Hope your blood test goes well on 12th. Course it will!!

Hi Ulls - just read your profile ! You’ve had quite a journey! Im full of admiration for you!
Hi WW, you must like reading my profile is almost a novel, thanks for your comment.
How are you doing, after all your putting up with a lot, I remember you joining the site.
Hi Ulls, thanks for asking! Apart from this darned covid, I am doing ok - in a better place mentally at least. I was so very frightened for my husband when I first joined this forum but you all got me through those first miserable weeks and months yes, I did enjoy reading your ‘novel’ because what came out of it was your calm stoicism! I don’t know how you achieved it but I sure could have done with some of that last autumn!
so, my favourite weather forecast today - hot and sunny! Clear blue skies here! Nothing planned here in this ‘plague house’ so a relaxing day hopefully ahead!
I wish you a pleasant Sunday
Hi Steve, yes, we were pleased with the PSA result. The blood was taken on the same day as the 3 monthly decapeptyl injection so I was fearing that the PSA might have been higher as the injection effects might have been wearing off? Hope your PSA result is good, too.
Morning WW - How's covid central going - have the antivirals worked?
I hope you are both feeling better and on the road to recovery - there's nothing like being ill when the sun is out!!
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hello Brian, thanks for asking! My husband has been ok - just a runny nose and continuing fatigue (hormone therapy or covid ?). He’s on the last day of antivirals today and the one side effect has been a horrible taste in his mouth - as warned by the doctors. So, it seems they are really effective in stopping symptoms. I am slowly getting there having been totally, totally wiped out. Still have symptoms ( cough, tiredness, wobbly legs, runny nose) and, as of day 7 (Monday) was still testing positive. In one word, I would sum the experience up as ‘horrible’.
so, I would urge all you men who are considered vulnerable to have your boosters, get your free test kits and get hold of antivirals as soon as you test positive!
Cheers - Glad he's Ok - you appear to have had it rough - but look to be on the mend still testing positive isn't too good!!
Had all my boosters, test kits in the bathroom - e-mail from the NHS with antiviral details to hand - trying not to catch it!!
Thanks for the great advice - you two look after yourselves.
Brian.
