This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • All I can say guys is it is not easy without one.

  • Exactly!!

  • Hello Les (

Yes Les, I am aware of your situation and as Steve said - you do have us, and we are a very poor substitute.

I know it might not be up your street but have you heard of "Macmillan Buddies". We can help you on your cancer journey by allocating you with a "buddy" to ring you once a week for a chat - to see how it's going and a general chat, not always about cancer. The service is free and here's the link:

    www.macmillan.org.uk/.../macmillan-buddies

I do hope you are keeping well and hope this link might help.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Robert

I don’t usually Join in the chat, but I certainly agree. Without the help of my wife over these eight years plus, even more the last ten months where my knees are really not good and hands can barely open a bag of crisps.

Step in my wife, who gets everything out of the oven, carries the food in for me, even though her back and foot are bad.
without my wife being here I surely would not be here still scraping away, All the wives and companions and family go through so much never complaining  and when I apologise she says it’s not my fault bless her.

    Stay Safe

    Joe

  • Joe, please give your wife a big cuddle from me!

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • Brian I know you know, I was just saying but its one of the things I have to go through.  And it is with the help from you guys that I am getting along with it. Maybe slowly but I am getting there. Cancer at the moment is not at the forefrunt of my mind. It the time of the year that is coming up.. But i will get through it.

    Les

  • Hi Stevecam
