This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Sorry,

Janet is a much better name than Worried Wife.

  • Totally agree with Gina (Sidsmum).

Tell your OH, no showing his planning tattoos off on holiday.

  • I sure will Steve. Think we’re just going up north for a chilly few days and start planning for a decent warm holiday when his RT finished.
thank you for the encouragement xx

  • My sister was mortified!!! I laughed at the time!!! She went to the GP another time on her own. She waited to be called into the consulting room and sat down. The Dr asked her how he could help but she had forgotten why she was there!

Even worse, my father died fairly suddenly. We were both supposed to pick his ashes up on Maunday Thursday for an interment of the ashes ceremony on the Easter Saturday morning as the undertaker was clossed on Good Friday. She and I both forgot to pick them up!!! My husband and I had to get up early to be at the undertakers for when they opened up on the Saturday morning !

  • It’s my OH birthday in Boxing Day so it’s a family day eating whatever’s left over.  Cold Turkey sandwiches & cranberry sauce is the best .

  • Ooft I bet you have lots of  funny conversations about it now with fond memories . Our local undertaker lost my mums ashes so she must be on a planet cruise as we still don’t have her. Our kids make fun of it now but at the time it was hard .

we all have funny tales to tell which makes life more bearable. Xx

  • Never been one for cranberry sauce.  Probably because when I was young, my mum didn't like it, so none of us came to have it.

I used to like brown sauce on cold Turkey.

    Changed, but not diminished.
  • Hi Gina , diverticular disease is s … literally . I was put on a special diet with no seeds, whole grain  , even tomatoes. However, I struggled and just introduced something slowly and if it affected me I stopped it . So can now have a tomato occasionally but stay away from seeded stuff . Hope you can get some relief
