This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Hi Gina

Good to hear from you! I have been wondering how things are going for you! I'm pleased to hear that Richard is less confused.

I've not ventured out of the house today but suspect the brook in the middle of the village has flooded  over - as always! We are in one of the highest parts of the village so if we flood then everywhere else will be totally submerged!

I am on granny duties next Mon, Tues and Wed as Lincolnshire half term takes hold! I am free Thurs and Friday though if you fancy an ice cream - or perhaps something a bit warmer?!!!!

Let me know how things go!

    Take care x

  • Oh great. I have covid jab in Corby on Friday and dog at groomers, but could make Thursday pm. Up to you whether we go for an icecream or a pot of tea. Your choice. Say about 2.30?

  • I just replied and it had disappeared. Okay, busy Friday but how about Thursday afternoon. I can get away for a while so you choose whether an ice cream or a pot of tea and where. Could meet about 2.30?

  • Thanks Brian, you really are a trooper and we all love hearing from you. xx

  • How is stevecam, not seen any posts lately again. Hope he is okay. x

  • Hi   - that's a bit formal - Gina

He's fine - he's up and about and has been posting last week - I did have a chat with him the other day and all is well.

  • Hi Gina. Thursday sounds good. Im very aware of your own time constraints so I wonder if  it would be better for you to determine venue in case it’s easier for you for us to meet up on your side of the county? Im always happy to go for an ice cream though! Or we could meet in Oakham or Uppingham? ( somewhere with easy parking?) I think there’s a nice garden centre  somewhere between Manton and Edith Weston?  ( giving everyone a guided tour of Rutland here!).t

  • Good morning girls and boys, I've also found the padded pants help full. I have to take 2 laxatives daily be cause of the C in my stomach not an item I'd like to get caught wearing outside but needs must. Pleased to hear Richard is home and misbehaving himself so long as he doesn't hurt himself when he falls. Had an odd phone call of a GP yesterday an appointment had been made by the practice to talk about my blood results, problems is I don't get the blood's taken till next Tuesday,  he apologized for the cockup.

  • Hi Gina, Brian, Ulls, WW, everybody,

I'm still here.  Finally made redundant yesterday.  They have made a decent offer and I am going to accept it.  Can't discuss it (gagging order).

What I can say is I have been treated disgustingly, talk about disibility discrimination!!!

I could write a book about it all.  Good job I'm still writing my daily diary (since the day I was diagnosed, over 2 and a half years ago).  So I suppose I have really!!

I am going to try and put it all behind me and get back to the rest of my life with Tracey.

Gina, glad Richard is home and getting less confused.  There are a couple of guys at Maggie's who swear by "Tena Men ".

Did Richard ever get any Tilt Table Tests at the Falls Clinic?

Don't know if I told you but after my last Tilt Table Test I was diagnosed with (something with a long name beginning with a V).  It's a posh way of saying I am prone to fainting, something about the blood not reaching my brain properly.

The only thing I can do is to keep hydrated and be extra slow getting out of bed.

Hope Storm "thingy" hasn't affected everyone much.  I know Whitley Bay was blasted, I'm about 5 miles away from the coast though so it's not too bad here.  I haven't been outside yet though.

Lucky Brian is still in Turkey!
