Have many under 50s been treated for prostrate cancer? What type of treatment did they have? What could they recommend? I've have just been diagnosed at 47years old and am not sure which pathway to take. I wondered what other people of a similar age had experienced.
Hi all,
It's been a difficult 3 weeks since my catheter removal but I'm glad to say I'm starting to feel a bit better and brighter.
My last trip to AnE on Monday last week left with a diagnosis of Epididymitis an infection running from the abdomen into the groin and finally my right testicle which swelled to the size of a grapefruit.
I was prescribed tramadol, ibuprofen and strong antibiotics which seem (to me) to be bringing the infection and swelling (large kiwi now) under control 7 days on.
I have to go for ultrasound and bloods this week and have a remaining week on antibiotics but feel so much better than last Monday where my pain was 9 or 10 out of 10 sun/mon/Tues.
I go back to Christies to see my consultant on the 23rd Dec which will be 6 weeks and a day since my RALP.
Ssshhh I feel like I might have turned a corner????
Best regards Dan
Merry Christmas
Hi Dan,
Glad to see things are looking up.
Bet you never want to see another Grapefruit again.
I've been in limbo since my Radiation finished 6 weeks ago.
Got a CT Scan on 22nd December, then my Christmas Hormone Injection on Christmas Eve. Ho Ho Ho!
It will be worth it in the long run.
Have a good Christmas.
