I had my anterior pituitary surgically removed long ago due to a benign tumor. Since then I have had to take medicines to replace hormones no longer produced in the body. One of these is Testogel, a topically applied gel containing testosterone. I suspect stopping its use will have the same effect as prostate cancer treatment that blocks testosterone. Anyone out there in a similar situation? How bad are the side effects if I cease using Testogel?
Hi, and welcome!
I think you'd be very unwise to make assumptions about hormone effects, and I also think you'd be more likely to find similar experiences at the Pituitary Forum.
Good Luck!
