Had my first 3 monthly Prostap injection 3 weeks ago. So far, apart from soreness at the injection site for two days, no side affects whatsoever, is that normal?!
Albeit that this is an old thread I can report that I have been on Prostap for just one year now and the noticeable side effects are...
All of which are manageable with the right positive frame of mind and in my case a very supportive partner..
I will add a quick edit to the above in a comment to the original post. My Prostap implants have, except for the first, been in the stomach area alternating left & right. The first was in my arm which I believe may have been an error at my then GP's surgery. None of these have had any effect what so ever, I would say totally undetectable post treatment.
I'm aware that every patient is different but that has been my experience.

Hello Allister .
Sorry to hear about the radiation cystitis. I have pulled this up for you and hope it helps. Also by bumping it up you might get more replies.
My OH got his 1st Prostap 25th June . His initial PSA was 14 with lymph node involvement .started Aberaterone 19th July . As of Tuesday it’s down to 0.1 .
Hes been lucky he gets a hot flush when he’s stressed or when he goes to bed for a very short time . brain fog , fatigue loss of muscle tone and getting a bit of a tummy .
He’s been white headed for years but his hair is coming in black .
He walks 10 miles a day and has done since he retired so don’t know if that helps.
He was in yesterday to have the gold markers and had his planning RT next week . He will have 6 fractions over 6 weeks starting December.
Hope you get some relief with your cystitis. I read Always Hope’s link and I know that HBOT is used for many conditions .
best wishes
Liz & OH xx
