I finished nine doses of docetaxel + prednisolone seven weeks ago. My PSA dropped from 148 to 41 as a result and I'll know what's happening to my PSA when I have a blood test at the end of September. The numbness in my fingers and feet has remained with me and I understand from the oncologist that I might have to live with this for some time. I'm also aware of a degree of MCI. I would be interested to hear from other members about their experience following chemo. What treatments are offered if (when) PSA increased significantly?
Hi I to have had 6 lots of chemo, my psa went down from 42 to 00.2. Then six months after it went up again to 82.4. So have started more chemo had 7 th one due my 8 th this Friday . But I can only have 10 in all. After that it it doesn't go down, they will look at other treatments. I hope this helps.
