PSA expectations ?

Dear Forum members,

Just had my latest PSA result of 0.9 after 15 months of ADT and 9 months on from RT. My initial PSA was 135 July 25. November 2025 it was 15. Then RT in January followed by April PSA 1.7 July 1.2 and now 0.9.
I am still on ADT for another 10 months. Each time I get a post RT PSA result I get a bit gloomy expecting it to be bigger drop to show a more positive reaction.

I have mentioned in previous threads  I was discharged from Oncology to GP services at my first PSA review after Radiotherapy in April . I am hopeful of an Urology review sometime after raising a concern of my lack of a specialist contact through my local MacMillan group . I am pursuing this.

I know the trend is down but I had an initial big drop from 135 to 15 but don’t know what to make of my latest results. I also have had mild anemia over my last 4 PSA tests, GP reacted on the first test but don’t even get notified now of either the PSA result or blood tests I can’t always get the App.

I know we’re not medics on here but thoughts (good or bad) are welcomed.

Thanks Richard

  • Hello Richard (

My thoughts - stop worrying, there's nowt to see here!

Yes, I would be disappointed to be discharged from oncology to my GP (I am at a big practice GP group practice and I've had to tell them how HT affects your body and interacts with other medication).

However the HT/RT Combination is working and you should reach your nadir (lowest) PSA 18 months after you completed RT which is July 2027.

Your cause for concern would be 3 consecutive rises in PSA or a rise of +2.

You are doing great - carry on!

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Many thanks Brian

Greatly appreciate your reply. A bit impatient between 3 month tests sets off negative thought's and overthinking at times.
    Best wishes to you.
