Its been 3 years my father was given HT treatment(zoladex 10.8 mg)

After every injection he never felt any issues. Max 1 or 2 days of tiredness and then back to normal. Recently , when he went for the his injection doctor gave him zoladex 10.8 mg Injection. The next day he went it severe fatigueness , not eating much , low blood pressure and high pulse rate of 120 to 130. Now its the 5th day and condition remains same

1. Is severe fatigue common ?

We were refered to cardiologist and  he did CT scan of heart  were we found mild blockages ( not concerning to doctor) however the pulse is still not gone down . Further stress test couldn't be completed since he has to get back to normal.

2. Has anyone come across such severe fatigue, tiredness, unable to walk , not eating food  after the injection,  ?

3. If its coz of injection,How much time it takes to recover usually for a person ?

(The Gleason Score is be 5+5 for right lobe and 5+4 for left lobe and Grade Group : 5)

  • I have the same injection and dose.

Although I do have fatigue, it is nothing like what you have described.

However, I was warned to watch out for the fast heart rate and report if it happened.

You appear to have done exactly that.

Your oncology team might have views on this. As the cardiologist hasn’t offered you anything, maybe you should go back to them.

A good thing to do would be to call the MacMillan Support Line on 0808 8080000 and talk to someone with some real medical training who might be able to help you work out an action plan.

    Changed, but not diminished.
