It is now over two weeks since my first ADT injection - Decapeptyl (triptorelin) - and so far so good, feeling perfectly normal - but i realise its early days yet. I am now waiting for the radiotherapy to start in a couple of months time.
At my latest diagnosis meeting with the oncologist to discuss the PET scan results and treatment I was told the cancer had spread locally just to one pelvic lymph node and I was on a curable path with HT and RT - all good. I wasn't given any options at this stage which at the time I didn't think much of - I just heard the word curable. But now I'm thinking should I ask the oncologist about possible Abiraterone/prednisalone and/or Brachytherapy which have never been mentioned. What are the thoughts on this?
