Well appointment today after a sleepless night for results and it's confirmed that I have prostate cancer
Don't know how I feel at the moment but at least I know and what I'm up against
Doctor said its grade 2 3+4 gleeson and looks confined to the prostate so treatable but wants to do a psma pet scan because psa is over 20
I have a load of pamphlets to read but don't feel ready yet as still in shock
Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect going forward
Tia Darren
Hi PB
That's not too bad really, low Gleeson, not particularly high PSA, good if inside gland which it probably is.
Try and find out tumour size when next talking with them, just handy to know.
Anyway start thinking about treatment options in due course, surgery, RT or Brachy,
Think you'll be ok.
All the best
Steve
