PSA increase during Chemo

Hi MRTWW lots of reasons for fluctuations as you go through intensive treatment regime. Could be something as simple as dehydration, or irritation from the effects of chemo.  Remember that you’re on a long term treatment pathway and things take time to (a) work and (b) settle down.  Let’s face it, you’ve just had your final session - your team won’t want to add any treatment so soon afterwards (especially as, presumably, you’re also on some effective hormone therapy).   AW

Hi MRTWW , please don’t worry about a fluctuation during chemo.  There is a possibility of a PSA bounce as, when the bad guys are killed, they release PSA into the blood stream.  I doubt your team are in any way concerned and generally they won’t start to look at your PSA trend until a few months after your last treatment.

I'm in agreement with others' comments so far - you need to bide your time and let the treatment work. 

Often things don't happen quickly when you're dealing with PC.
