That bitter taste

Not sure what chemo you are on but I had the same experience from early on in my chemo, but weirdly I found sucking a candy sweet, that I would never normally eat, but it helped me after trying loads of stuff. I've completely forgotten the name of but I will check tomorrow & get back to you.

I'm having Docetaxel

I had docetxel a couple of years ago and experienced change in taste. This is a possible side effect and as Hazel3 suggests you might be able ro mask it by eating something - I used some strong mints. The problem does go away after you've competed the course of treatment.

I asked my consultant for a mouth wash as I was getting some awful tastes whilst on Docetaxel.  Initially I was give a very strong mouth wash which has a slight numbing agent in it and this worked well.  It was Benzydamine Hydrochloride 0.15% mouthwash.

The sweet I was trying to think of was 'Skittles fruit'. helped mask the metal chemo taste I suffered with. They seemed to do the job for me until later rounds of chemo gave me mouth thrush my nurse advised & I then used Corsodyl mouth wash. Hope some of my & or the others suggestions give you some relief.
