Hello Everyone,
I have been on HT (Eligard) for just over 12 months now and my Oncologist recently subscribed Apalutamide Tablets. Not long after starting the Apalutamide I have developed severe lower back pain that can go down my legs.
As the pain developed not long after taking the Apalutamide I'm wondering if this might be a side effect of the drug as I've had no falls or done anything that would give me this pain.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated,
Greg
Hi Greg
I was started on Apalutamide in May this year by my Oncologist after my Prostate Cancer of six years now had spread to several other places.in the meeting in May she prescribed me with Zomorph am/pm and said its for the pain.
One of the places my cancer has spread to is my spine, she also prescribed oromorpth in-between the zomorpth incase I needed more in the day.
I do get painful legs but nothing to bad obviously due to the above pain relief.
It is probably worth mentioning to your team /oncologist as I also have pregabalin which is to kill nerve pain, therefore is the zomorph there to relieve leg pain from Apalutamide.
My onco prescribed Zomorph at the same time as Apalutamide it is therefore worth chasing this up, it costs nothing to ask the question
Good luck with this, take care Greg
