Strange isn't it? I never realised that people find it hard to actually use the word "Cancer". Perhaps I was guilty of that too?
Anyway, my name's Simon. I'm 53. I had a PSA test last week and was told over the phone that it was raised (6.5). The GP then asked me a battery of questions about any symptoms I have, but all I was doing was planning my funeral! She booked me in for a prostate physical check, which turned out to be fine, but there was some blood in the urine dip check. I found out today that there's no infection in the urine, so now I'm due for another PSA test next week.
It's the waiting that I don't like! Very stressful, but I'm thinking it's important to tell people how it is for you.
