Greetings all! I had my RALP this morning. In my car and heading home. Feeling pretty rough! Woke up in a lot of pain. Will try and do short walks when I get home.
Shout out to my wonderful wife, who happens to be an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has been wonderful, and has everything all set up for me. Feeling blessed.
Hi Pomfather
Glad to hear things went well. and that is impressive you are out and at home. I have no experience of this particular process other than that which friends/fellow "forumites" have said but I do wish you well and a speedy recovery.
The support of our nearest and dearest is so important - I am sure they do not really know how special they are to us!

Hi Pomfather,
Amazing news that you have escaped the hospital so quickly. Having had the op two years ago I can remember just how painful it was on the morning after. My op was in late afternoon. I didn't escape the hospital for two days and had a catheter for 24 days.
My wife is a Carer in the Community, so also knew when to push me and when to suggest I rest. Please do listen to your wife and don't try to be a hero and do more than you can.
I wish you all the best and so hope your recovery from the op continues to go well.
Thanks Paul! I wouldn’t have minded staying one day, but I’m sure it saves cost. Sitting in my Lazy Book is very comfortable!
Day 2 - feeling like I was shanked in a prison fight!
