A little update from me. I had my TWOC on Wednesday and it worked!!!! I am now catheter free, thank god. The first good thing that has happened to me for a long long time. I was very nervous about the whole thing and had convinced myself that it would not work as I didn't want to end up disappointed if it didn't. I'm absolutely over the moon. My flow is slowly regaining strength and I will probably walk around in shorts for the rest of my life. Cycle four on Monday with my PSA currently just over 6 down from 49 when first diagnosed. I had to reschedule my summer holiday with my daughter due to treatment so we are now going away in October. I am so looking forward to going on holiday catheter free, we can go swimming, go karting, enjoy the fair rides. All those little activities that I used to take for granted. I feel like a new man. Even my blood pressure has come right down. Roll on October when my treatment is finished and we can both go on a much deserved fantastic holiday together.
Hello String,
That's great news for you, I can feel your enthusiasm and delight at your new found freedom over the internet!
It's a pity you've had to reschedule the holiday with your daughter but it certainly looks like you're going to enjoy it immensly when it happens and you well deserve it.
Keep it up, not long now 'till you're finished.
All the best, Derek.
