I have not shared this part of the journey, but a couple of the others on this group have.

It may indicate that you have a very small clump of cells somewhere, too small to find.

If you stay on the medication any growth should be slow.

What were your original stats before treatment including PSA,.

When did the Radiotherapy finish and are u still on the HT

Welcome to the group - although I am aware you have spoken to one of our Information and Support advisors before and I am aware of your age and home circumstances. I hope things have improved since last September for you.

So the Hormone Injections are to put the cancer to sleep and the Radiotherapy is to kill off the cancer cells for good. This works very well for most people, but for some of us - me included - it doesn't remove all the cancer and what we've got is called a biochemical recurrence (BCR). You have rising PSA after treatment but the scan results are negative.

Your team at Hull will be keeping an eye on your PSA readings and no doubt keeping you on Hormone Therapy jabs. Your team will watch the rising PSA and no doubt order further scans in due course. Many men live for years like this, without any clinical symptoms and also without the cancer spreading.
