Seeing as my pc is in my bones does that mean the only effective treatment is hormone therapy
No, it doesn’t, but I can’t speak with direct experience.
If the affected areas of bone can be found, then they may be able to be treated with short bursts of radiotherapy.
Chemotherapy might be an option.
Radium 223 might be used.
There are drugs that strengthen bones.
You need to speak to your team to find out if any of these things might be useful to you.

Changed, but not diminished.
Hello Big Col
As Steve (mstev2 ) rightly said in his post above, there's plenty of tools left in the tool box.
Don't quote me but if I was a betting man (oh I am!! ) I would think your oncologist is keeping you on Hormone Therapy because it's working for you - don't try and fix something that still works.
Stay positive, think positive and stick with us - we are all in this together. .
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Big Col
You are at the same point as me - "biological recurrence" - quite often your PSA rises but they can't find all the little sods in your body - they know they are there.
Some men run for years like this and than all of a sudden the cancer shows where it is. If you already have some places where it's spread to - your team will be hoping the treatment you are on stops them growing and at some point in the future if it's suitable, give them a blast with Radiotherapy.
Best wishes - Brian.
