on relugolix now for 10 days. but the hot flushes are out of this world. face is burning.
is this normal? i have mentioned in the past that i'm getting these flushes EVERY 20 MINUTES NON STOP!!! for 4 days now.
i have mentioned it to my specilised nurse team. the standard reply it's normal for these side effects. surely every 20 minutes is not normal!
i can manage with a few but 45 in 10 hours!
i really thinking of stopping this lunatic ride i'm on with this medication. not on anything by the way.
anyone had so many flushes like this? any advise would be kindly received.
mike..
Hello Mike (mike3561)
Give it time - explore the options - yes it's a side effect and yes you've had it bad - one of the side effects of Prostate Cancer nearly killed me, so once you've had 10 days in hospital with this cancer then you can join me!! .
You've been advised by me Sage Tablets work for many people - have you tried them yet and given them a chance to get in your system? You also had advice about Medroxyprogesterone, have you spoken to your GP about this?
Your body takes time to adjust to medication - and the changes they bring so if you are thinking of speaking to your GP - ask him about Calcium and Vitamin C Tablets as the Hormone therapy can weaken your bone structure - You are also at risk of growing a pair of "moobs" (I have a cracking pair of 38DDs ) so you might as well ask about medication - Tamoxifen too.
i really thinking of stopping this lunatic ride i'm on with this medication.
The alternative isn't too great - I can assure you - since I have been a Community Champion I have been to 3 funerals for friends - 2 from this Community so you need to think very seriously about that statement.
We are here to help you - I could be watching the football now or out with my mates for a beer - I do this because I want to help people get through what I am going through. You need to think long and hard and take advice.
Best wishes - Brian.

Mike,
My good friend had your experience with the flushes on Orgyovix. He had some success in reducing them greatly with acupuncture (in the ears) ... maybe worth a try?
David
Hi Brian,
thanks for your reply. burning face is the major thing now, non stop. will it calm down?
re:Medroxyprgesterone. my gp as given me gabapentin, not recieved it yet only
