I thought today's post deserves a new thread so here goes:-

4.5 years into my personal journey and it's had it's ups and downs (click on my name or avatar for the full journey - I would make a brew first!) and today's my 3 monthly bloods and consultant meeting.

PSA 6 (up) Testosterone 0.5 (surprised!) and eGFR 62 (happy days). I feel good and have lost 2 stone in the last 9 months.

I am on a "biochemical recurrence" so the plan is to stay OFF treatment for another 3 months, test again and see where we are in 3 months time.

I started off this journey on HT for life (treatable but not curable) - that changed at radiotherapy to "curative pathway" but since the end of my first 3 years on HT I have been sat on the fence. Today I am back as treatable but not curable but my team at Christies are brilliant, the support and information has been top drawer and there are plenty of tools left in the toolbox so - lets crack on!!

On a personal note I am off to Sussex on 28 July for a weeks walking, off to Fife on 24 August for another weeks walking and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and finally on 8 September off to Turkey for a 3 weeks break in the sun and a few EFES's Sunglasses. Our son got engaged to his long term partner last week and number 2 daughter has "ordered" grand child number 5 for delivery the week before Christmas.

Life is good, I feel positive and upbeat and no - not at least worried about my change in diagnosis - it's only where I was Christmas 2021.

I would just like to thank everyone who has supported me in the last 4.5 years - some of you are still here from my first day.on the group.

As I said above - lets crack on, nothing to see here!

Kind regards - Brian.
