  • Talk to your radiotherapy team about this.

It may well be that you are having a reaction to the radiotherapy and, if so, they can reassure you.

I had vague pains in my hips during radiotherapy. They wore off when it stopped and receded into my past.

I didn’t get the other symptoms, but all bodies react differently.

    Reaching out is also good.

We can’t offer medical advice, but we can offer experience, most of which overlaps.

    Changed, but not diminished.
  • Sorry to hear Shea14.

Yes, halfway through Radiotherapy I did have bowel and urinary issues, normal I believe.

It should go away a couple of weeks after RT is over.

    Best wishes

  • I had surgery April 2025. PSA started rising in October 25. Started salvage radiotherapy in March this year. Didn't have any problems with my hips even though I also had targeted radiotherapy on a hotspot found via the PET scan.

Started with bowel problems after 17/20 sessions. Started to improve after a week after the last session.

Everyone is affected differently but do talk to the radiotherapy team or the specialist nurse.

I had 2 case reviews within the 20 sessions with the specialist nurse.

Got tested for infection for the bowel issue but came back clear. Issue was caused by the treatment in the end
