I had no 10 RT yesterday and ironically met with macmillan radiographer and quite happily said I very little side effects, but on getting home I started to shiver and feel very cold ,this then progressed to feeling like I had flu and feeling sick.I curled up in a ball and felt very sorry for myself.I had a rough night but this morning I feel better but totally exhausted. Is this a normal reaction?
Hello BP55
Radiotherapy affects us all in different ways. As you feel better but exhausted I wonder if this was some type of "flu bug?"
If you are feeling unwell before your next fraction, which I assume is Monday and it's getting worse, please do call 111 for urgent medical advice, otherwise let your team know of your issues BEFORE your next fraction.
Do let us know how you get on.
Best wishes - Brian.
