Well that’s the nuclear bone scan done, a long day but no issues.
so that’s the ct scan done, the mri done, the biopsy done and now the bone scan done.
just got to wait four weeks for the appointment for results. It does seem like a very long time to wait. Speaking to people, it seems very variable how you get these results. Some get by phone the day after (scans) some have to wait a week or so, but we will have got to the 60 days before we get a diagnosis.
i just want to get him onto the hormone therapy quick.
I emailed pals a week ago and just got a generic reply saying they were busy and it would be a week before they got back to us, but nothing yet.
patience is not a word in my vocabulary.
by the way, is there somewhere to see what all the abbreviations mean, I have to keep googling everything and loosing my place.
cheers everybody.
Hello Cheryl (Cabb )
Sadly the waiting is the hardest part of the journey but once you have all the results, a diagnosis and start on treatment things will settle down to the "new normal".
Here's a link which should help in understanding the diagnosis:
Staging and grading of prostate cancer.
If there are any figures or abbreviations you don't understand please do let me know.
Kind regards - Brian.
