Just wondering what other people do.
Im 4 years into treatment for incurable localy advanced pc, last treatment was almost 7months of chemo ending early Nov 2025, since then only medication i have been issued is steroids.
Question...who do you first contact when you have a painful medical issue that you think might be related to your pc. Your GP or phone 111, or try contacting your oncologist or other.
Bear in mind that you are not sure its pc related it might be a run of the mill medical issue that anyone can suffer from.
Hello Rob321
So I am in year 4 of my journey, not incurable but having a biochemical recurrence. I am under The Christie in Manchester and their advice is to report any changes that could be connected to cancer to my team - if it’s not cancer related they will point me in the right direction for help.
I was having shoulder pain - spoke to the team, yes it’s your rotator cuff - contact your GP.
For me your 1st port of call is oncology.
Best wishes - Brian.
