I had my first 3 monthly injection of deceptacyl last year. The nurse noticed that the dosage was the same as for the monthly....is this correct?I have no idea...I noticed Carl 28 mentioned deceptac?Anybody
got a answer ?.Thanks.
Usually different dosage level according to whether mthly, quarterly or half yearly. Thus:
Decapeptyl SR 3 mg is given as one injection every 28 days (4 weeks)
Decapeptyl SR 11.25 mg is given as one injection every 3 months (12 weeks)
Decapeptyl SR 22.5 mg is given as one injection every 6 months (24 weeks)
I suppose may be exceptions.
Regards, Dave
Hi Big Col that is definitely not correct. Do you have access to your NHS record? If so, the dosage should be marked and if you only had a monthly last time, you should not wait for 3 months. If you had the 3 monthly and then another 3 monthly a month after, I would talk to my oncologist.
Best wishes, David
