Morning everyone I had a meeting with my oncologist and he informed me of the above which surprised me, as it had levelled off at 33 .Does this mean the docetaxel has failed? We are now going to ct scans etc. And a
itch to daralutomide?spelling or enzalutomide .He told me the doubling time was 18 months . . which I believe
isn't to bad.Anyone have a similar experience.
?The previous pet scan showed pelvic lymph nodes only cold it have travelled to a distant site .I am trying to keep positive but I am trying
to make sense of what psa numbers
really mean .
Merry Christmas and a still alive
new year. Thanks for all your support lads and may it continue in 2026.
Hello Big Col (Big Col )
I think your team are looking at why your PSA has risen back to 33 - some cancers are resistant to certain treatments so yes, the docetaxel has worked to a certain extent. Your team are checking to see if there is any spread and trying a different treatment to reduce your PSA. Stay positive - enjoy Christmas and the New Year.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Brian, a late Merry Christmas from me and Tracey. We're having a really quiet one, just the two of us.
Did I say "Bah Humbug!" I prefer the build up, Santa doesn't exist anymore does he?
Hope you're keeping well. I haven't been that active here recently. Still reading the posts. At least your PSA is down to a respectable number.
Pass our best wishes to Lorraine.

Hello Stevecam,
How can you possibly say that Santa doesn't really exist? I'm sure Hollywood would disagree as they make so many films that he stars in. Also, if not, who ate all the mince pies & drank the milk I left out?
Nothing wrong with a quiet Christmas as it's far more intimate doing / eating / watching the things you really want to. Hope it was a good one.
Best Wishes
Brian
