Having read some positive reports online and papers but mostly with menopausal women, I just ordered and received some sage tablets but having second thoughts. Anyone tried these ? or had any particular professional advice to avoid or not to bother? NICE guidelines suggests there's no good evidence for herbal complementary treatments. I am normally sceptical of these as well.
Hello Patrick (Patrick100022a3b9)
A few months into my personal Hormone Therapy journey I started with the hot sweats. They were bad and we had to change the bed sheets daily and I took a towel to bed at night.
Someone on here suggested Sage Tablets, so I checked with my team, they were Ok with them so I ordered a months supply. It took almost a week before they kicked in but I haven't had even a warm flush since.
The ones I use are "Menoforce" you can get them from Holland and Barrett and Amazon - they are a tad expensive but for piece and a decent nights sleep worth every penny.
Note - They don't work for everyone so try them for a month first.
Best wishes - Brian.

Thank you Brian, I did see those and as you say they are quite pricy compared to some . If not generally contraindicated for ADT in men I am inclined to possibly try the ones I got from a fairly established Uk source online for a month or so to see if any effect.
I knew Brian (Millibob ) would be along and tell you of his very positive experiences with sage tablets.
However I have found exactly the opposite having tried both sage and Menopause to absolutely no effect.
The answer to your question is, try them and see if they help but do give them chance. Brian was lucky and I was unlucky but hey-ho we are all different!
What ever happens I wish you all the very best with your treatment.
