Hi all, well had my RALP on Monday at Christies.
Feeling tight but pretty good today.
I didn't get to see the surgeon after the op, but the intention was nerve sparing and his notes said " nerve sparing incision attempted" .
I don't want to read much into this but hope this is a standard phrase to say I've done what I can.
I have twoc on the 4th.
When will I see the surgery team for histology and feedback.
I'm also keen to start any meds etc for Ed ASAP. I've learnt you have to push for yourself sometimes or you seem to get lost in the system.
Wishing everyone the best.
Sounds ok Steve1973.
You should get an appointment for histology about 8-10 weeks after your op You will have a psa test about a week before it ( this is what I experienced) At my appointment my consultant said he wanted to start me on ed meds and sent a letter to my doctors and I received a prescription about a week letter for a daily dose of tadefil which I can take as long as I need it . At my appointment we discussed the ed side of things and I told him I’d had partial twitches(I’m trying to phrase it diplomatically)so maybe that was the prompt for ed treatment I had bilateral nerve spare op and have been continent since TWOC so maybe that is also the reason the meds were prescribed. This is my experience so it might not be the same for everyone. Hope this helps. Simon
