Hi . I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with a PAS of 74 and Gleason score 9. Originally being operated on but now it has press slightly to the lower levels of my pelvis so hormone tablets, then injections followed by radiotherapy. My doctor says 50% curable 100% manageable but it’s mental issue now with me not physical as I feel ok. My concern is I know radio therapy does not play well with Colitis , does anybody have experience on this please.
Hello Finders2dab77
I understand your concerns, however I must say that in the last few years, radiotherapy has come on in leaps and bounds.
Prior to any radiotherapy treatment, you will be invited in to see the radiotherapists and for a "planning scan". At this point you should be having a word with the team about your concerns - I am sure they have come across this issue before.
Best wishes - Brian.
