Hi all,
My 6th and last cycle of Docetaxel is due this afternoon and time to ring the bell off of its bracket haha, hopefully it will go just as well as the last 5 have, and post chemo side effects will be mild again.
Had a call from my Oncologist yesterday to see how I was coping, and she also provisionally arranged a plan for things moving forward.
A CT scan is being booked for 4 - 6 weeks time (mid December), the timescale before scan is very deliberate as the Chemotherapy keeps working during this time and the picture will be clearer.
Hopefully the Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy has done its job and Radiotherapy can commence in the New Year, a consultation meeting is already booked for the 7th January to discuss this.
My PSA is now down to 0.125 (very very happy with this), with the 1 cycle left to hopefully squeeze it down a little further.
More detailed information of my diagnosis and full journey is on my profile...
Have a great Halloween, and all the best moving forward
Jay
Hi Eikcorb good luck for your last session. Sounds like you have tolerated chemo very well and the PSA is coming down nicely with HT. RT should be straight forward but lots of time to forget about cancer between now and then and live a little.
Best wishes, David
