Hi

update on my brother

he has been to see his oncologist today with scan results and just to see her

he had his scan in July and we couldn’t understand why no results yet so we have been waiting for him seeing his oncologist today

well his oncologist has said that looking at his scan is like looking at someone who hasn’t got cancer none to be seen the treatment has worked and she was so amazed at how well the triple therapy has worked .
As you know it was in his seminal vessels and numerous lymph nodes well she said lymph  nodes back to normal size prostate has gone back to normal with no trace of the tumour

dont get me wrong best news ever we are over the moon but I’m amazed that this could happen it doesn’t feel real

she has said it’s like remission but doesn’t want to use that word as obviously the cancer still there but she can’t see it

she said the Daralotamide usually works for about 2-5 years then if his PSA goes up they are on it

I had to share this as it’s great news and we are all so happy

  • Hello

Well yes i have - i have a rising PSA of 27.5 but the little sods aren't showing up on a scan - so I am back on HT but I trust my team and it's not unexpected as I started my journey with a PSA of 182. Life is good though and the Ht isn't troubling me!!

You and your brother are a very luck pair - if I were you I would buy a lottery ticket for Saturday! Blush. I hope it carries on going well for both of you.

    Best wishes - Brian.
