Hello all hope everyone enjoying the weekend. Husband is 11 days into his first Prostap3 injection. Not had too many side effects as yet apart from burning soles of feet but since yesterday his ankles are quite swollen which is unusual for him. Anyone else?? Wondering whether to contact GP regards this or its something just to be managed?
These drugs take a while to become effective so the side effects tend to build up rather than occur immediately. The exception is some sort of allergic reaction so if your husband doesn't normally suffer from swollen ankles it may be worth checking with your GP or oncologist.
Its also worth being aware that most of the side effects are the result of low testosterone not the Prostap itself. Testosterone will decline gradually following your first injection.
